The devil is making people believe that they were born Christian, and that the baptism as babies was good enough. You won't believe the number of teenagers that I've spoke to that when asked if they were Christian they said things like "Yeah, I think I'm baptist, but I'm not real religious." When you question this, you find out that they truly believe that because they were born into a Christian family that that makes them Christian. I'm one of the victims of this VICIOUS cycle. Until I met my wife I had no idea that we needed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in order to be saved.
You can't be born a Christian, Christianity is a belief and action system. It requires a belief and an action to back that belief up (We call it faith.) To say that someone is born with a belief is complete nonsense. Beliefs are developed through life experiences and teachings.
The Baptism - We are told by the Bible that unless we are baptised we will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Most of us are baptised at birth, and most of us believe that that is good enough. Well, it's not! I'll tell you why... Jesus wasn't baptised until He was an adult. Old enough to make His own decision. The baptism is to symbolize the new man being born and the old man being washed away. Getting baptised much like being a Christian is a personal choice, it can't be made for us by our parents. This is a common deception as well. If you were baptised as a child, but not since you became a born again Christian then I recommend you go get baptised again.
Spread the word that Christianity is a choice, and nobody is born a believer!
